The goal of this workshop is to go deeper in unison, together, but without expectation. There is no pressure to achieve or perform on the day, simply show up and join the fun of flexibility, building strength to go deeper safely, and improving overall range of motion / mobility.
You will leave with a full heart, new awareness of splits, backbends and drills / homework you can apply forever in your yoga practice. As always with yoga, there is no rush, this is a lifelong practice and together we will do the impossible, on and off the mat!... when the time is right.

2 hour flexibility workshop

EVERYONE can be flexible, and I truly mean that (I wasn't always flexible!) - through devotion, drills and dedication I've evolved my yoga practice one flow at a time.
Now, I can comfortable sit in front splits, can touch my feet to my head from behind (crazay!), and have super full range motion hips. My partner and I say I have a "honey body" because it's so foldable haha!... and you can too!
When you know how to train for flexibility, progress is inevitable! Together we will explore the beauty of the splits, deep hip mobility, backbends, the underlying deeper meaning of flexibility science and how to unlock new levels.
🧚🏽 What to Expect?
An in depth two hour workshop - we'll outline the mechanics of safe, successful flexibility, anatomy of the hips, weaving in the philosophies of ancient yogic practices that will allow us to open our bodies and get deeper into our asanas.
The structure of the workshop:
- Centring & meditation - the goal of this workshop is to go deeper in unison, together, but without expectation. There is no pressure, no
- Warm up with a flexibility & strengthening specific sequence
- Flow through sun salutations (again with a hip / splits strengthening theme)
- Dive into a flexibility flow with:
- Drills, tips and tools to take away and apply at home
- Cool down with essential deep asana to close out class
- Shavasana & theme closing
- Goodbyes & homework!
What Shapes will we work on?
The beautiful thing about flexibility? The fundamentals apply to multiple advanced asanas - splits, backbends, flipping your grip, that all require similar strength and flexibility. Shapes we will work on:
Splits - Hanumansasana (plus over splits / standing / flying splits)
Flipped Grip King Pigeon - Eka Pada Rajakapotasana
Samokonasana - Middle Splits (plus over splits / swim through depending on flexibility)
Malasana / Skandasana
(plus transitions from slits to inversions, drills for pressing into inversions from deeper postures energy levels / abilities and time)
